University works with city leaders on projects to help bring affordable housing to people

De ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ University has been working with the City of Leicester on a series of real-world projects that are now making a difference at street level. DMU academics and researchers in 2024 have been working with colleagues at the Leicester City Council on planning and development projects to make better use of the urban spaces.

DMU's city centre campus makes pedestrian access the priority

The Leicester campus of De ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ University is at the heart of the city and the pedestrian has priority on the main routes. Mill Lane, with access to all the university’s main buildings, is now pedestrian only after being closed to traffic in 2012
